I've been away for quite a while! I'm still out and about playing, teaching and recording but I've neglected my blog for many months! Is there anything you'd like to see here? Let me know!
This is a great track from Wooten's debut album 'A Show of Hands' and it's a real challenge to play well. Don't lay into the pops or strums too hard and make sure you're not rushing! It has taken me a while to really figure out how Victor actually plays this groove and I'm almost certain this is how he uses both hands in conjunction. He embellishes it in true VW style but I'm sure his advice would be to play it in a way that makes you comfortable and especially if it makes you groove!
